MADHUBALA


Madhubala or Mumtaz Jahan Begum Dehlavi, is the all time favorite heroine of Indian film industry.  She acted in numerous films of  50s and 60s. She was regarded as the most beautiful and talented Indian actresses.  She was born in 1933 in New Delhi India in a Muslim family. Her family was send away by Afghanistan arm forces to India. His father Ataullah khan was working in imperial tobacco family but due to some reasons he lost his job which makes him to take his family to Mumbai forever. Madhubala entered this industry when she was just nine. Her debutant movie was BASANT which the block buster movie of 1942. One of leading actress of that time Devika Rani was deeply impressed with her acting skill and potential. She named her as Madhubala which means a lady of honey. Soon she became a professional and reliable actress. The entire film industry took her for grooming lead roles in movies.Her first break as a heroine at the age 14 was against Raj Kapoor in the movie Neel Kamal. Though this movie was not a hit but she was acclaimed by the audience.   Her beauty was blossomed.   She acted in Mahal movie against Ashok Kumar; this movie gave her immense popularity. She was just 16 but her skilful and subtle acting upstaged her co-star. She was spoilt heiress, traditional ideal and westernized imaged in some of her movies. 
He song Aye meherebaan sung by Asha Bhosle was a popular track in her fans. She is indeed crowning glory and most awesome talented beauty in Indian film history. She was most sought after heroine in India. She was fascinated towards Hollywood which makes her to be a part of Theatre Arts, a American magazine. In that magazine she was titled as the biggest star in the world. She was portrayed as a ethereal and mysterious woman of mythological beauty having a huge fan following.
In 1950 she was caught by a heart problem. She had ventricular septal defect problem by birth but was noticed later. At that time heart surgery was not available. Indian film industry was unknown to her problem for long period but one incident put forward her serious problem in front of everybody. When she was acting in the movie BOHOT DIN HUWE she vomited blood before the crew on the set.   She continued acting and recognized herself as A grade star. She consumes only home prepared food so that the risk of infection can be avoided but she died at the age of 36 in 1969. This was the end of the legendry beauty and talented actress.
